Pastoral
Ministries
Pastoral Ministry is led by
Rev. Rob Taylor, who has been with St. Thomas since August 3, 2010,
first as a lay-redeveloper/seminarian, and then as pastor.
Pastor Rob's passion in
ministry is to clearly and understandably preach the fundamentals of
the Christian Faith applicable to everyday life, to educate God's
people for spiritual growth, and to equip St. Thomas' members to use
their God-given spiritual gifts in ministry.
Pastor Rob is a graduate of
Kent State University and holds a Bachelor's in Psychology and a
Master's of Library and Information Science. He worked in the IT field
until his calling to ministry. His last position being the Director of
Technology for Streetsboro City Schools. He is a graduate of Ashland
Theological Seminary and holds a Master's of Divinity degree. Pastor
Rob is a 10 year veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to
ministry, pastor Rob loves to play guitar, banjo and coronet. His
hobbies include fishing, camping, bicycling and gardening. He brings a
distinctively humorous side to ministry and is a gifted preacher.
Pastor Rob is married to his
wife Jolyn, who plays guitar and sings with him on Sunday mornings.
Jolyn holds a BA in Business and Education from Hiram College, and a BA
in Architecture and Masters in Library Science from Kent State
University. Jolyn is currently a Library Media Specialist for the
Stow/Munroe Falls Public School system. Her hobbies include
